Help Greater Longview United Way by collecting donations for our Blessing Box. This box is located just outside of our office and is available to any of our friends and neighbors in need. Great places to gather donations include your business, workplace, church, or from family and friends.
The following is a list of our Blessing Box's current needs:
Individually Wrapped Snacks, Canned Food (w/ ring-pulls), Granola Bars, Cereal Bars, Fruit Cups, Peanut Butter, Crackers, Dried Fruit, Beef Jerky, Gatorade, Baby Wipes, Kleenex Packs, Feminine Hygiene Products, Disposable Razors, Brush/Comb/Hair Ties, Socks, Bandaids, Travel Size: Shampoo/Conditioner, Soap, Toothbrush/Toothpaste, Floss, Deodorant, Lotion, Sunscreen
If you are unable to deliver your donations on the morning of June 21st for Day of Action, please contact Heather Stevenson at hstevenson@longviewunitedway.org to make alternate arrangements.
Everyone will meet at The ROC (Recreation Outreach Center) next door to the Greater Longview United Way's office at 310 S Fredonia at 8 am on June 13th.
Here is what the day will look like:
8:00 AM
- Breakfast will be provided.
- Volunteer teams will check in and receive agency information.
- Donations may be dropped off by companies and picked up by agencies. (Please check in when you arrive for assistance.)
- Pictures of Donations and Volunteers Teams - If you have you have a Live United shirt, be sure to wear it!
Approx. 9:00 AM (Once morning activities are complete) - Projects Begin
- Volunteer teams will leave for partner agencies.
- Take lots of pictures and be sure to tag GLUW. Social Media information will be provided!
- Those of you who have volunteered to take pictures for GLUW staff be sure to check in with me for project locations and to find out where to send your pictures.
- Keep hydrated - water will be available at the agencies.
