Partners in Prevention will host a Poverty Simulation, an immersive experience designed to help participants understand the day-to-day struggle of living in poverty. During the simulation, participants become part of a "family" and work together to problem-solve real-life issues (e.g., transportation, food, children in school, crime, paying rent and utilities) with limited resources.
As a volunteer for the simulation, your role will be as a teacher, banker, pawn shop owner, social service representative, or others to help provide resources to the "families."
A short training before the simulation begins will equip you with all you need to fulfill your role.
