Who We Are

The East Texas Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides education, youth prevention programs, information resources, and services to prevent alcohol and drug use/misuse. We serve over 1.7 million people in our 23-county service area in East Texas.

Most services are at no charge to the community. Funding for programs is provided by:

  • United Way
  • Texas Health an Human Services
  • Community Foundations
  • Businesses and Individual Contributions

What We Do

At ETCADA, we are committed to transforming lives and strengthening communities through prevention, behavioral health, recovery support, and transition services. By providing education, resources, and direct services, we empower individuals to break free from the cycle of substance misuse, rebuild their lives, and thrive. Our work supports at-risk populations, promotes healthier communities, and creates pathways to lasting recovery and stability.
