Volunteer: Executive Director Volunteer Partner

A Volunteer Partner to the Chapter Executive Director is a leadership volunteer who works in partnership with the Executive Director with the primary goal of building capacity to deliver the local Red Cross mission. The Volunteer Partner extends the reach of the Executive Director by serving as administrative support in the East Texas area.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Support communications with external relationships (advisory board, elected officials, local service clubs, partners, and other key stakeholders) that expand the Red Cross mission. Support fundraising efforts and maintaining documentation in fundraising program: Salesforce. Assist with Chapter Blood drives by calling and scheduling blood donors. Maintain a general working knowledge of all Red Cross services and critical needs. Assist with preparation in Chapter Board meetings.

Time Commitment: Minimum 10 hours a month – Virtual position

 

Qualifications:

Passion for the Red Cross mission and the community. Demonstrate excellent verbal/written skills and knowledge with Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and ability to learn new systems). Able to be sensitive to others and personally work well in stressful situations with a wide variety of people. A creative self-starter who can successfully manage multiple tasks and priorities. Embraces diversity and inclusion and demonstrates understanding of the mission, vision, and seven fundamental principles. Leads by example and demonstrates Red Cross values. Ability to work in a variety of roles, including those of consultant, collaborator, and administrator.
