Lend a hand to a senior homeowner who needs assistance clearing years of overgrown vegetation and clutter along their fenceline. Your help will immediately improve the property's curb appeal. Skills Needed: Enthusiastic volunteers for light to moderate yard work and debris hauling.

We are seeking immediate help for a local homeowner who is currently hospitalized in Dallas undergoing cancer treatment. Between the medical crisis and the family being spread thin providing care, the exterior of the home has become severely overgrown.

The backyard has reached 4–6' in height and requires a brush cutter or heavy-duty trimmer. Mowing the front/side yards and weed eating along the fence lines.  Also, raking and clearing a small amount of litter/junk to restore the property’s safety and appearance.

A senior widow who has been overwhelmed by compounding family matters while battling serious personal health issues, has a yard that has fallen into a state of massive overgrowth. Your team's help will provide an essential "fresh start" by restoring peace and dignity to her home.  This project requires a significant effort and is perfect for a large group of 20–25 enthusiastic volunteers or two dedicated smaller groups. Work includes: 

1) Massive Yard Restoration: The property is severely overgrown and needs extensive manual labor, including heavy mowing, weed-eating, raking leaves, pulling thick weeds, and comprehensive hedge trimming. Volunteers will need to provide yard equipment. Connect Longview has some loppers, rakes and bags that can be used. 

2) Junk & Debris Removal: A large volume of old junk items and scattered debris must be collected and hauled to the curb for bulky waste pickup, removing a major nuisance and eyesore. Connect Longview can provide gloves and plastic bags. 

A senior widow who has health issues and is overwhelmed with family matters needs help mowing, weedeating, raking, pulling weeds, trimming hedges etc. on a yard that is massively overgrown. There is also some junk items that need to be taken to the curb. This is a big project and may need more than one volunteer group to complete - or a large group of 20-25.

A senior widower with no family in the area needs help mowing, weedeating and general yard work at his home in north Longview. 

A senior veteran in the Spring Hill area needs help mowing his front, side and back yard. 

A medically-disabled homeowner needs help cutting up a felled tree in her backyard. She has been unable to get it mowed because the tree is in the way. There are also vines and scrap trees that need to be cut and mowing once the tree is removed. 

Homeowner in her 80's needs help taking care of her property while she is in rehab. The home needs mowing, weed eating, raking and vine removal.

A senior homeowner who just had two back surgeries needs assistance removing junk from his yard and with some minor yard cleanup. 

A mid-70's homeowner with multiple health issues needs help mowing and weedeating her yard. 

Medically disabled homeowner needs help cutting up a felled tree in her back yard (a small chain saw should be able to handle most of it) as well as some minor repairs to her front porch railings. Her home could also benefit from a pressure washing.
