Who We Are

Windridge is a 43-acre therapeutic equestrian facility located in Upshur County between Diana and Gilmer. Our covered arena and trail system provide a safe, welcoming environment where individuals of all abilities can grow, heal, and thrive.

Led by PATH Intl. certified instructors, we are dedicated to creating life-changing experiences through the powerful connection between people and horses.

What We Do

Windridge provides equine assisted services to children, adults, and veterans with physical, cognitive and emotional challenges. Through our therapeutic riding and PT utilizing Hippotherapy programs,  participants build strength, confidence, independence and meaningful social connections.

Our programs included therapeutic riding, a veterans program, PT utilizing Hippotherapy and a strong volunteer program that makes every session possible. Each class requires a team of trained volunteers who serve as side walkers, horse leaders, and class assistants. Volunteers help ensure rider safety, encourage participants, and celebrate every milestone along the way.

In addition to  assisting in lessons, volunteers support barn operations, horse care, facility maintenance, special projects, and community events. From grooming horses to preparing equipment or helping maintain our 43-acre property, volunteers play a vital role in keeping our programs running smoothly.

No horse experience is required. We provide training and guidance for every volunteer role. What matters most is a willing heart, reliability, and a desire to serve others. Join us and be part of a team that changes lives -one ride at a time.
