Who We Are
Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas is separately incorporated as a 501(c)(3) and one of 111 councils chartered by Girl Scouts of the USA serving 32 North Texas counties. In the 2nd century of the Girl Scout movement, GSNETX serves over 19,000 girls, with over 8,000 trained volunteers, four camp facilities, and eight service centers. GSNETX’s mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Our vision is to be the best organization to help girls thrive in the 21st century. Girl Scouts is the world's premier leadership development organization dedicated solely to girls. In an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world. In partnership with committed adult volunteers, girls develop strengths that will serve them all their lives, such as leadership, strong values, social consciousness, and conviction about their potential and self-worth. Girl Scouts continues to be one of the most affordable youth organizations and remains the largest leadership development pipeline for girls.
