Greater Longview United Way

For over 78 years, Greater Longview United Way has been an integral part of Longview and beyond, working diligently to support organizations that speak directly to the needs of our community in the areas of education, financial stability, and health. One thing that has remained constant throughout our history is that we are better together than apart. 

Our mission is to improve the Education, Financial Stability, and Health of every person in our community. We are able to do this by raising funds that are granted to local partner agencies for programs that meet these needs. We currently partner with 18 agencies to provide 30 programs here in East Texas. Teams of local volunteers thoroughly vet each funded program to ensure your gift is used to benefit people in our community.

In addition to the 30 programs that we support, we also operate three initiatives that support our primary mission. 

• The INFOline of Gregg County helps connect people in need to resources provided by local agencies.

• The SingleCare prescription savings card program helps those unable to afford needed medications.

• Read to Succeed provides fully stocked, custom-wrapped book vending machines to schools and nonprofits in the Gregg County area.

• Dolly Parton's Imagination Library puts books into the hands of kids 0-5.
